Education

Kathleen graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Criminal Justice in 2003. She earned her Masters in Social Work, with a specialty in Forensics, in 2008. While at Sonoma State she played soccer and was an active member of the Criminal Justice Club and was the Vice President of the CSULA Forensic Social Work Caucus.

Kathleen completed her graduate degree while pregnant and served as the Vice President for the Social Work Caucus at California State University, Los Angeles.

Director Of Operations

Kathleen feels more than lucky to have grown with a company from its inception. Working as a vacation property manager has taught her the importance of juggling many different needs at once. Handling the day-to-day of a growing company and ensuring the team runs smoothly keeps her on her toes. This experience has been invaluable and helped to teach her how to manage diverse people within an organization.

Social Services

At left, you see Kathleen learning she was nominated for the “Get It Done” award for her work with families adopting, fostering and fostering to adopt. In her career in Social Services, Kathleen has specialized in the treatment of the criminally and mentally ill, designed treatment modalities for dual-diagnosis youth, research, as well as with the foster care system. Kathleen believes deeply in a lesson she learned from her father; If you are lucky enough to have a voice, it is your obligation to use it to empower others and right wrongs.

In the Community

Community Outreach

Kathleen believes that helping to create a thriving community takes volunteer work at every level. Sometimes you are able to share and other times you need the support. Kathleen has spent years volunteering with different neighborhood associations and donation centers collecting and dispersing everything from food to toys.

Parks and Rec

Kathleen pours herself into creating wonderful experiences and has spent the last 7 years volunteering at the parks department in many different ways, from Cheer to community meals to chaperoning field trips.

Community Outreach

Kathleen and her youngest son had the best time as official Pooper Scoopers for the 2022 Rose Parade. Kat shares that coming from Seattle, the thought of clear blue skies in January was laughable, and one of the many reasons she fell in love with Southern California.

Teaching her children the importance of giving back to their community has always been an important part of parenting to Kathleen. She has spent many years helping with the La Crescenta Christmas Tree set up and cherishes the friends she and her children have made.

Kathleen knows that helping a team succeed means offering your strengths in the way that team needs it at that time. Kat loves to participate in her children’s teams and finds immense joy watching as others reach and surpass their personal goals.
